I purchased this waterproof mattress protector about 6 years ago. It's been fantastic. It has a very soft velour top and it's not plasticky or hot at all. It is 100% waterproof; my mattress has survived many spills and many serious period leaks.
It is almost impossible to completely washout the blood from the mattress protector, but I don't care. This waterproof mattress protector has done its job, and the mattress is in mint condition as if I purchased it yesterday. I highly recommend.
